Happy Father’s Day. I work with so many wonderful families…see so much love. So what is a father? It isn’t blood ..marriage….a title…it is nothing more than having that undeniable love for the person that calls you Dad. May it be a skinned knee, a broken heart, learning how to start a campfire, the look at a sporting event when they succeed or not…..it is having that person there. This person is a teacher, a guide, a friend and a source of strength and support. He that is looked to with never ending loving trust and pride. A willing hand to lend, he is a helper, an adviser and at times a partner in crime. He shows you the stars and teaches you how to reach them. This person means the world to those that call him Dad, Thank you to my wonderful Dad…and to all of you out there that take the time and the love to mold and create the future generation.

What a fun maternity photo session!!!  First , these two have so much personality that a camera absolutely adores them!  S. is absolutely stunning and Dan can make anyone smile.  I had the chance to meet these two through a dear friend katfoleyphoto.com .  If they dont look familiar they are the owners of  http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dans-Downtown-Tavern/80022027831 (become a fan).  Such a wonderful place…best burgers in town and the BEST beer selection on tap. yeah…sorta an advertisement..but that’s ok..cause I love this place!

It always amazes me…the gift of life.  I meet so many beautiful pregnant women and so want to tell them..hold on to this time.  Remember it as you will only go through it a few times in your life ( or in my case 5 times) .  Don’t worry about your knees , your arms, the weight you have gained on your backside.  Focus on the true beauty within…the extraordinary event that is about to take place.  Embrace it all…..even the water retention, sleepless nights, stretch marks and roller coaster emotions.  One day you will look back on those days and on your maternity photographs and smile.

Congrats to you J.  What a joy it was to photograph you and meet you.  I am looking so forward to meeting your sweet baby soon.  Happy Mother’s Day!

A new baby is like the beginning of all things, hope, a dream of possibilities.

So many people think of their job as a ways to a mean.  I am able to go into the studio everyday knowing I am going to work with families that are experiencing some of the best times of their lives.  Times they will never forget….and I am allowed to capture that in photos.  Not only do I get to stand behind the camera and see the love….I get to hold these precious babies for a couple of hours.  My job ROCKS!!!!
